An Aspiring Minds Test on your campus

Content
The Content Team at Aspiring Minds has done extensive research in identifying the necessary skills required for IT and ITeS professionals. We have used multiple national and international studies and surveys including the NASSCOM-KPMG 2003 report on IT work-force, studies by Downey (SIGCPR 2005), Melrose (SIGCPR 1996) and survey by Bailey-Stefaniak (SIGCPR 2001) to find out the right set of skills to test.

We have designed a modular test such that scores from a single test can be filtered and combined in various ways to estimate suitability for different job profiles. The test assesses various skills including general aptitude and logical ability, English vocabulary and comprehension ability and quantitative skills. This is coupled with domain specific (e.g., Computer basics and programming) testing, which assess basic concepts, knowledge and ability to apply knowledge to solve real-world questions. The content is designed such that the functional, translational and critical knowledge of the candidate is tested, which guarantees the success of the candidate both in the short and long term as new technology replace the state-of-art.

The content team has as advisors Professors from MIT, IIT, Georgia Tech, Harvard and University of Delhi. A large body of Computer Science graduate students and professionals from MIT, Stanford, University of California, Berkeley and the IITs are involved in preparation of the test.
