How companies use AMCAT to hire?
Companies accept AMCAT as the standard to filter and shortlist candidates for interviewing and hiring.
Companies use Aspiring Minds online portal to shortlist students according to their AMCAT scores. Based on the candidates shortlisted, they either visit the campus or call students to a centralised location to interview them.
Based on the AMCAT scores of the whole batch, company choose campuses to visit and conduct direct-interviewing there.
Companies visiting your campus use AMCAT assessment to shortlist and not do their own testing. They just conduct interviews saving them time.
A good AMCAT score on the resume can help candidates get shortlisted when they apply to companies during joint-campus drives, off-campus drives and job fairs.
Multi-dimensional test increases job chances
Aspiring Minds' test is in multiple different subjects. This helps in getting placement to large and diverse students. Different companies look at different combinations of these scores, and some companies do not even look at all scores. Thus students not performing well in a subject or two still have a very good employment chance. For instance, some software companies do not care about English score if the job is not client-facing; many companies do not look at computer programming score if the candidate has high aptitude.
College-wide feedback to improve placements
Aspiring Minds provides a detailed confidential report with graphical analysis to the college commenting on the strengths and weaknesses of the students and suggesting what steps the college should take to improve employability of majority of students. We provide year-wise, department-wise comparisons of students, comparisons in different modules, etc. Also comparison to industry standards and other institutions is provided. Aspiring Minds also uncovers what is lacking in the education, intake policy of the institution and how it could be plugged to make students more employable to the IT industry.
This feedback can go a long way to improve the institute education quality and standing in the society.
